Standardized Education for Ventilatory Assistance (SEVA) at Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Eduardo Mireles-Cabodevilia
Join me on this podcast as I feature Dr. Eduardo Mireles-Cabodevilia who is Medical Director of the ICU at the Cleveland Clinic and Director of Simulation and Advanced Skills Center. He also serves as associate Professor of Medicine and is Vice Chair in the division of Critical Care medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He discusses the value of SEVA (Standardized Education for Ventilatory Assistance).
The SEVA program is a multi-level educational initiative that equips healthcare professionals with essential skills to manage mechanical ventilation effectively. Through evidence-based practices, standardized methodologies, and a structured learning pathway, SEVA caters to learners at various levels, from students to critical care physicians. Combining online modules, hands-on training, and simulations, the program builds core competencies in ventilator management, troubleshooting, and goal-directed strategies to improve patient outcomes and care quality in critical care settings.
