Season 4 Episode 3

Send us a text

This is a very special episode as we are featuring Dr. Jasleen Pannu who is an interventional pulmonologist, lung cancer advocate, and mentor on a mission to save lives through early detection and equity in care.

At Ohio State, she leads the Early Lung Cancer Detection Program at The James Cancer center — combining AI, community outreach, and advanced bronchoscopy to catch cancer before it’s too late. Their work has already led to over 100 curative diagnoses.

She also serves as President of Women in Interventional Pulmonology (WiIP), elevating women physicians through mentorship, leadership training, and global collaboration. In addition, Dr. Pannu is doing work with a mobile lung cancer screening unit in Ohio.  The unit, called The James Mobile Lung Screening Unit, offers low-dose CT scans to screen for lung cancer, targeting individuals aged 50-80 who are current or former smokers with a history of smoking. The unit visits underserved areas like businesses, health departments, and churches, according to Ohio State Health & Discovery
